Happy Holidays from LRN

On behalf of my LRN colleagues around the world, I want to wish you a very meaningful holiday and Happy New Year.

Each year at this time at LRN we pause to reflect on the year we are leaving behind and consider the world we wish to see in the year to come. I always look forward to writing you with our thoughts on the state of the world and this community’s contributions to do our part to improve it.

In our holiday note last year, we celebrated the growing number of young, socially conscious, self-made leaders, not waiting their turn to lead.  These leaders are inspiring – and thoughtfully demanding – positive change.  They prod our conscience and elevate our consciousness.

This year - in the spirit of this community and our work together in helping people around the world do the right thing - we are again inspired to donate to some amazing charities headed by the next generation of moral leaders.   This year we are donating to:

  • One More Generation, founded in 2009 by 8 year old Carter Ries and 7 year old Olivia to help educate children and adults about the plight of endangered species.
  • Bye Bye Plastic Bags, founded by teenage sisters Melati and Isabel Wijsen to reduce waste and end the use of plastic bags around the world.
  • #1000BlackGirlBooks, a project to donate books with black female protagonists to black school girls, inspired by 13-year-old Marley Dias.

Your partnership in the LRN community has made these contributions possible and you share in their impact. I thank you and look forward to connecting with you in the New Year. Until then, my LRN colleagues and I wish you and yours a peaceful holiday season.

Warmly,

Founder and Chairman
